Every project at KickerSoft starts with the same constraint: we need to reduce uncertainty fast without drowning the team in endless discovery. Over the years we have refined a simple onboarding sequence that helps us understand the business, map the current product and agree on a first scope that is actually shippable.
We usually start with a short alignment workshop where founders or product leads walk us through the current state of the business, key metrics and the narrative they use with customers and investors. The goal is not to document everything, but to capture the minimum context needed to make good trade‑offs later.
From there, we move into a focused product walkthrough: we click through the current app, we look at analytics and we read past support tickets. This gives us a more honest picture than strategy decks alone. Only then do we start sketching potential scopes for the first 6–8 weeks of work.
